Patricia Susanto is CEO of The Jakarta Consulting Group in Indonesia. She studied a Master of Human Resources at Griffith University.

What was the highlight of your experience living in Queensland?

The highlight was to connect with other international students, our group was really diverse from Europe, Middle East and India.    

How has your experience in Queensland helped you with your career?

It helped me in developing my network globally, and we are still connected and trying to catch up with each other.  The experience also helped me to be more confident around people from different backgrounds.  

Can you share your student journey (why did you decide to study what you studied and why did you decide to study in Queensland)?

I did a dual degree program with University of Indonesia. 

What career-advice would you give future students thinking about studying in Queensland?

Enjoy the time, and do as much travelling as possible.  Be active in class and try to connect with different groups of people - this really helps in developing different perspective.   

What's the easiest way to develop a social-life in Queensland?

Volunteer and be active with different groups on the campus.   

What are you doing now in your career?

I'm the CEO of a consulting company in Indonesia. 

Why did you decide to follow your chosen career path?

I've been working with the company for 12 years and it's part of the career path program.   

Anything else you would like to share about your experience studying in Queensland?

It was a fun experience, be careful with money because the cost of living is quite steep.
